Drogasil began its journey in March 1935 following the merger of the São Paulo pharmacies Drogaria Bráulio and Drogaria Brasil. Two years after its founding, it adopted a network strategy by partnering with other pharmacies. In 2011, Drogasil merged with another major player in the sector, Droga Raia, leading to the creation of RaiaDrogasil, now known as RD Saúde.
Pharmacia Raia began its operations on August 3, 1905, in Araraquara, in the interior of São Paulo. After opening its second pharmacy in 1931, the company expanded to other cities and states in Brazil, reaching the milestone of 80 pharmacies in 1992. The 2000s were marked by its development, modernization, and the celebration of its 100th anniversary. In 2011, it merged with Drogasil. This merger resulted in the largest pharmacy chain in the country.
