Plastic Bags
Our goal is to reduce the use of plastic bags by customers when taking their purchased products home. Since 2020, we have been addressing this issue, and in 2023, we focused on training our team to always ask customers if a bag is necessary. This practice is also applied when issuing receipts. In this way, our employees act as agents of change, encouraging customers to rethink their habits.
In 2023, we achieved a
37%
reduction in plastic bag usage
A plastic bag takes 400 to 1,000 years to decompose.
Plastic accounts for 85% of the waste found in oceans.
Approximately 100,000 birds and mammals die each year due to ingesting plastic bags.

This reduction is another step toward reversing the impact of plastic pollution in oceans, which causes numerous environmental issues. There are many alternatives to plastic bags. You can carry your purchases in a handbag, backpack, or even your pockets. If you already have plastic bags at home, consider reusing them on your next shopping trip. Another option is to always carry a reusable bag or eco-bag with you. That way, whenever you stop by the pharmacy, you can transport your purchases conveniently and sustainably.
Digital Receipts
Avoiding plastic bags isn’t the only way to make your pharmacy trip more sustainable. Another option is to choose a digital receipt. When shopping at our pharmacies, you can opt to receive your receipt by email instead of a printed version. By choosing a digital receipt, you help reduce thermal paper consumption and decrease the amount of waste generated.
