In addition to all the planned and implemented actions, we highlight the efforts of our Social Investment department, which leads a series of initiatives designed to create a lasting positive impact on the overall health of the communities where we operate. When we state that Every Care Counts, we commit to a healthier society and strive to foster a culture of giving within our community of employees and customers.

RD Saúde Volunteer Program

RD Employees

In 2019, RD Saúde launched its Volunteer Program, a movement that now proudly includes over 12% of our employees dedicating their time and skills to causes focused on holistic health. Through various initiatives, we continuously foster a culture of giving within RD Saúde. In 2023, 6,517 volunteers from our corporate offices, pharmacies, and Distribution Centers (CDs) participated in volunteer activities. These activities included competitions, task forces, and collections of various products such as personal hygiene items, food, and clothing, totaling 938 initiatives.

Our extensive presence, with 3,000 pharmacies across 26 states and the Federal District, presented a unique challenge, which we overcame by creating an online platform. This platform aims to gather information and data about the Volunteer Program, facilitating the integration and multiplication of our efforts nationwide and giving employees the freedom to lead and create their own volunteer initiatives.

Health and well-being are the primary focuses of our volunteer actions, reflecting our central commitment to care. However, we encourage participation in a variety of causes, recognizing the importance of contributing to society in diverse and impactful ways. Our volunteer activities span all areas of RD Saúde—from our pharmacies and corporate sector to our CDs—demonstrating that together, we can make a difference in many lives.

Employees

We are committed to implementing transformative actions, especially for those in vulnerable situations. In 2022, we took a significant step in this direction by strategically deciding to allocate 1% of our net profit to the Company’s Social Investment area.

This contribution represents our commitment to promoting holistic health and well-being in the communities where we operate. This 1% of net profit complements other funding sources that support our social initiatives, including donations from our customers and tax incentives. Thanks to these contributions, in 2023, we allocated over

R$ 30,2 million.

Additionally, we reached another important milestone with the approval of our Theory of Change by the Board of Directors. This strategy continues to organize our action pillars and investment guidelines, ensuring that our efforts are aligned with our goals of promoting significant and lasting changes in communities.
